Ready 1-2

Joni is on the cheer squad, and I think besides all of the boys at Murray High, I am her biggest fan.
Next year she will be on the Drill Team, so it looks like I will be attending a lot of those performances now.

I think at the Drill Showcase she was confused, she wore her cheer uniform, performed with the cheerleaders and  then after  getting a flower from a boy, she stood in line with the drill girls!

Here she is:
Looks like a need a new/better camera

Deep fried, glazed goodness

Melt in your mouth Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
I think most doughnuts are o.k.  but KK's are amazing when they are fresh off of the fryer! (otherwise, meh)

Don't worry. A group of us went down to the Flash game yesterday (i fell asleep, tells you how exciting it was) and we had to stop in for a hot one.  We waited a half an hour at least.  I inhaled mine.

I loved watching the doughnuts being made... kyle thought i was lame.

Disney on Ice

Can I just say MAGICAL!

I was able to get some Disney on Ice tickets.  Emily, Ryan, Julianna and I went.  Poor Kyle had too much home work to go.

We went to a VIP party before the show, we barely missed Mickey and the whole time Juju said " Where Mickey Go" ?

The skaters are so talented and the show was phenomenal.  Here are some pictures:

Fat FHE

Kyle and I got to go to a VIP dinner at a new restaurant on Monday for FHE.  The Copper Onion is one of those fun little hip places you got to eat downtown when you want to feel special.

The staff was extra friendly and we literally tried everything on the menu.  Even just a bite of everything was too much.  I couldn't make it through the main courses or dessert!  Don't worry I think I put on about 10 pounds! (but it makes me feel better that everyone else did too!)

My favorite thing was the artichokes and the spicy chicken.

It was awesome!

Drill Team and Twilight

I never mentioned the Salt Lake Magazine Dining Awards last week.  It was in the beautiful Utah Museum of Fine Arts.  I think Kyle and I were the only people who didn't drink at the mingle.  It was fun to chat with and meet new people in the community. Check us out:

We were able to get preview tickets to Alice in Wonderland for my whole family.  Kyle and my Dad went early to get us all seats together and the only place they could find... the front row!  The movie is 3-D and had great computer graphics!  I liked it, but it is a little different.  My little sisters all kept their 3-D glasses and popped out the lenses for the cool glasses!

Wednesday night after dinner Kyle was studying and I sat down to read a little and fell asleep.  My sweet husband cleaned up dinner and got my things ready for Yoga. (so that he could go play basketball) Luckily he didn't get hurt this time.

Thursday night is ward basketball, I was totally off, No 3 pointers this time but it was a fun fun game.

Joni called me on Wednesday night and asked me if she should try out for the drill team or cheer.  I told her to both.  The only problem is the tryout were on Friday and she had already missed 2 days of clinics!  She is so talented she just went to one day of clinics and made it!  I would like to say that the Costa Vida Burrito I bought and delivered to her along with the good luck card and skittles made a difference!

On Friday night my best friend Tiki and I took dinner to our best friend Barb who had surgery.  I always have so much fun with those girls.  Both of their little boys are so cute!  I love little boys.

Saturday we were reunited with our best friends Warrior and Ryan! We went to the Desert Star Theater and saw "Twi-light: I was a  teenage vampire"  It was hilarious!  Then we spent the night with playing games and eating the best alfredo ever!

Something Smells Fishy!

Because I cooked fish!

Everyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for deals... sometimes to my disadvantage, but how can you pass up a sales rack???

The frugal monster even kicks in at the grocery store, which is where I found some insanely cheap red snapper fish (don't worry I know nothing about fish either)

So I take it home to the hubs ready to show him my cooking skills, until I unwrap the fish and gag.  Seriously nasty fishy fish smell.  But alas I am brave and smart using a recipe and flying by the seat of my pants and make things up like I usually do when I cook.

They turned out to look like this:

Not to shabby for a red snapper I say!  The only problem, our house still smells like fish!

And while I am on the subject of food... I have to post this picture, to prove what an awesome wife I am to give the hubs barbecued ribs 2 nights in a row!  Yeah for wet naps
