Babysitting SAGA

We had a hard time getting the boys to want to do anything.

Finally, a brilliant idea! we made a fire and had smores. But alas after about 5 minutes they were bored again!

But Kyle had fun with Griffy

Kyle made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. It was great to have dinner made for me.

He REALLY LIKED it

Babysitting

Here we go agian another baby sitting job. It's not so bad. And we make ok money. but everytime we babysit I do something dumb that costs us more than we made. No only that, we house dog, cat, lizard and fish sat last weeked this time the parents will be gone for 2 weekends.

The boys not only have school that we pick up and drop them off for they have scouts (not a bad thing) young mens, personal training, tennis lessons, physical therapy. We have to watch 3 cats that like to puke and pee and poo when the mom is gone, the lizard who needs fresh crickets about every 3 days (yuck) and the coolest dog in the world Griffin.

He goes by Griffy and he loves kyle. Although he should like me. I give him treats, sneak him people food beneath the table and let him inside. This kiesh hound is adorable but huge.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention the 35k dollar fish tank that in the past has been known to over flow underheat and cause me stress.

The boys are so cute and the parents love us. We make sure their homework gets done, feed them and don't have any hospital visits, except the scheduled ones. If anyone needs baby, house dog or other exotic pet sitters you know who to call!

Oma's Birthday

78 and still looks great!

Getting together with family has to be one of our favorite things. The Wooden side doesn't get together as much as we should, but everytime we do it is a blast.

Ky and I got to reminisce about our wedding because Omas party was in the same back yard as our reception (although a little decorating really did spice it up! Oh yeah and there was not a volley ball net at our reception, wish)

Everyone was so excited to see us and the girls loved my big red necklace, but bad news my shirt buttons didn't like to do what they were supposed to do, and stay buttoned. Good thing I always wear undershirts.

Some random girls came over to cut cousin Andrews hair. He wants to look like the office guy.

Opa tried to convince Kyle to move in with my Aunts parents. Basically to be their farm hand. I say he would be the arm.

Helping Grandma, gone bad

Grandma calls Kyle "Muscles".

When ever she needs anything done like pulling, down the blinds, opening stubborn jars, or pulling out bushes MUSCLES is there.

Well the other day Grandma asked kyle and I to help her pull out her ugly old roses that were not producing, so basically these nasty thorn bushes. I tried to help, but I was mostly in the way so i just picked up branches and started the digging around the bushes--- while ky literally hacked at these poor bushes and their roots. For some odd reason I felt sorry for these pokey sticks. I made the mistake of telling Ky that I felt as if he were killing them. He said that is exactly what he was doing.
We pushed and pulled and wriggled those dang things out of the ground. We kept score. Amanda 1, Kyle 5 bushes 20. But we really didnt know what to do when the shovel decided that it wanted to play.

After a few dings and dangs the shovel went kapute and that was the end of that... until we found a shovel in the garage made out of metal.

Blessed

I just have to say that we are probably the most blessed people in the world. We are so excited to have the sunshine, so fortunate to have the gospel, and blessed to have love.

Sometimes I find myself being suprized at the ammount of love my heart can hold. I think that my heart is full, and then Kyle smiles at me and I find my heart growing. He teaches me so much everyday. To appreciate the places that we have have been and to prepare for where we are going. Although sometimes it feels like we don't know what road to take, it is always nice to know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for us, a plan of Happiness.

The New Do

It all started a few weeks ago when my custest friend Elba was coloring my hair. We were at her house in little ole Mendon, Utah, where their isn't any inversion, or anything to do. Kyle was playing with her little dog mooch and the little boys that Elbs Nannys.

After a while, the dog was bored and the boys left to go sledding. Poor Kyle. So Elbs and Doll got this great idea to color Kyles hair as well...

But to the dismay of all, it didn't work. A couple of weeks later we decided to try it again... We messed up........

Don't Worry it looked great after we cut it!

A different Christmas

Christmas at The Wouden home consists of carols, a christmas dinner including ham potatoes and christmas punch...the holidays at the Summers home is quite different, although still Christmas.

After almost dying on drive up (totally spun across the weed filled median, and played frogger with south bound traffic.... all without a bruise.

Well after our christmas movie (so wierd who goes to a movie, there are pies and songs and family) We went home to some potatoes and chilli, obviously not a usual Christmas dinner.

Luckily we stopped in to see Kyles grandparents who had a tree, train and cookies it felt a little more like the season.

We spent a fun filled night, well half a night, on a deflating air matress. The other half found the two of us on a twin bed, Which really isn't ment for twins..

We woke up to find that Santa came, but kyles brother didn't so we had to wait until 4 to open our gifts. I cheated and gave the Ky a suprise stocking in the morning.

A beautiful and filling Christmas breakfast

started off the morning of no presents, and some of the boys missing their stockings.

But I got just what I asked for, or joked about-- laundry detergent. We are now loaded since I bought a BIG thing from costco the week before

The Perfect Day

When I woke up Friday morning I asked Kyle if we could have the PERFECT DAY. And I guess that for some reason we can live up to our expectations.

We woke to the most beautiful snow fall and I schemed up the idea of a day at home, in our pjs, sipping cocco by the fire... but my "lets get it done personality" kicked in.

Cute kyle grabbed the shovel and went to work... both to help grandma get out of the driveway, and to help the dogs make it outside without getting high centered (they need to be on a diet). While he was outside I cleaned the bathroom and made him the best ham and eggs breakfast!
After making our bed, some prayer and fun, we headed out the door to the worst part about christmas... trying to buy things for hard-to-buy-for-people! We really spent most of the day in and out of stores, internet shopping and browsing at the perfect gift that we just couldn't afford.
The only thing that kept us going was the promise of a Christmas party later that evening. No joke at Costco, people thought that we were just trying out the office chairs and sofas, but no our feet just really hurt

Milk

I have never really liked the white stuff... but my husband drinks it like there is no tomorrow! I just had to share this funny picture of his huge mug. (I really think that it holds like a quart of liquid!)

Not sure if he needs all of the milk to wash down my cooking or if he really just likes it.

Christmas

What a time of year!
Feelings running all over. Excitement, love, joy, stress, pull-your hair out what am I going to buy my mother-in law all in the same day.

Luckily Kyle and I got his Parents something on Black Friday. If they don't like it at least they will appreciate the thought we put into sitting outside in the freezing cold for hours!

I was so excited to buy Kyle presents. I know that one can't buy love (not that I need to) but there are just so many things that I know he would enjoy. Sometimes I wish I didn't give us a budget for gifts.

But this all isn't really what Christmas is about...

This season is wounderful. A time to think about changing ones life, helping others and becoming more Christlike, the things that we are hopefully thinking about all year long. The decorations are like no other time, the food divine and the post office bustling with action.

We are so blessed to be able to share our first christmas together. I am excited to create our own new little family traditions and to celebrate the season with those we love!

Our First Blog

Dear Everybody:
We are so excited to be married. We love it. Today we have been hitched for 23 days...But according to Kyle it already feels like eternity!
Right now we are living with my grandparents and it actually has turned out really good. This weekend Kyle's buddies came and stayed with us. We tried to support the Aggies while they were playing the Utes, but the weather got the better of Amanda. When she gets wet and cold, football isn't her favorite thing. NO joke it was snowing!
Jared, Liesl and Brado were great company for our barbecue where Kyle almost blew us up.
This was our first week in our new ward full of newly weds and nearly deads (we are newly weds) but I'm sure that we will learn to love it. Everyone is so friendly.
