Get in the Games... the Hunger Games

The Hunger Games. Seriously. One of the best books I have ever read. I think I have gone through the whole series over 5 times. Here is the extent of my obsession:

- I made Kyle read them. He pretends to not like, but really he read all 3 in less than 4 days.
-I'm planning a Hunger Games Event for work. I don't think I have ever spent so much time planning a party in my life. I'm trying to get each detail right. (PS please come)
-I sometimes day dream about the story line
- When I worked in TV, I called the author's publicist to see if she could come out for an interview
-I'm one of those geeks that reads fan sites, forums and peeks at artist renderings
- I get goose bumps every time I see the trailer.
-I know some of the psychology behind the books (intended or implied or just made up)
- I tell everyone about them. (if I haven't told you, call me but be ready for an ear full)

If you've read the books and have ideas for my event, tell me about them!

Let the games begin!

PS Tickets go on sale on Feb 22nd at 10am. Let me know if you want to buy any through me.

Male Escort... Male Model Round Dos!

The money.  That's why kyle agreed to model at the bridal show.
At least that's what he says.  It may or may not have to do with the fact that he got to hold Miss Utah USA's hand.
This year the Bridal Showcase was a family affair.
3 of my sisters modeled, my little brother dan, my handome hubs ky and my niece Julianna...
wow

I guess the want us back for 2 shows next year... we'll see if kyle agrees

December flies by!

A lot has happened in the last little while!
We are so blessed, here is a list of the latest:

Kyle cut off a big chunk of his toe... and I made him super glue it back on:
Some how his toe survived.

We made a trip to YAKIMA, WA (don't worry, we hadn't heard of it before either) for Kyle to interview for a medical school.
While we were there us Mormons made a trip to the local orchards and wineries, the fields were so beautiful they took our breath away.

We had to stop at Pike's Market to see the flying fish. Wish we would have bought some.

Also, Doll may be huge the next time you see her. She is now working at a movie theatre and she gets free buttered popcorn (bet you couldn't resist it either). She will be doing events for them (watch out Twilight fans!)

The Daily Dish

Big news... I'm now producing:
Still get to work with my fave girl Nicea (totally missing working really close with Angie though) and I still am helping with Good Things, but Dish is my new baby.
Let me know if you have any awesome ideas for the show... (

An Apple a Day!

If the Summer's career plans don't work out as planned...  we could always work the orchard!

Kyle and I went up to his parent's house this weekend and had a blast picking apples with his mom.  I got to climb trees, and throw apples at kyle (sounds fun right!)
We picked 3 boxes full of different kinds including: granny smiths, johnny, galas and red delicious.  I'm going to try my hand at canning apple sauce and pie filling.  Ky's mom sent me home with a few jars I may pass off as my own if things don't go as planned.

My own mother is planning a trip up to Tremonton to do a little picking.

I also have to let ya'll know I ran the Park City Pink Series Half Marathon with Angie Larsen from my work and her sisters.  They couldn't have been nicer to me!  We had a little girls night on Friday and to be honest I ran so fast because I wanted to see my Kyle at the finish line.  Bless his heart for braving the snow and rain (seriously!) to come see me waddle across the finish line.

I would suggest training, but honestly I feel great!

Disney Land Itinerary

I didn't get to post enough about our trip to the happiest place on earth  Disneyland.

We planned this trip with the family a few months ago, and crazy Amanda came out.  Jokingly (or maybe too seriously)  a few family members called me the Travel Agent.  I had every half hour of the day planned with activities, the order of the rides we were to go on, who was in charge of what snack (because there were 2) planned down to the half hour!  Bless Kyle's heart, he was very patient with me, even when I went alittle nutso because I lost our backpack (the one time I was in charge of it, which really threw off the plans)

A few notes for next trip:
-plan a few "unplanned" or "free time" times
-Wake Emily and Amy up at least 1 hour before the rest of the family
-always bring Grandma Anderson.  She doesn't ever complain and is a huge help
-Rent a wheel chair for grandma to sit in.
-Bring better shoes (i did follow the packing list I made and did bring 2 pairs of touring shoes but one really sucked)
-Calm down.  I was so worried about everyone else having a perfect trip that I was a ball of stress and I probably didn't make Kyle's trip the best.  But because he is the best, he rolled with me.

Let me know if you need help planning your next trip (If i'm not there, you can follow your own plans and not my itinerary)

Moving stinks

I forgot how bad moving stinks!
Seems like we have 5 big boxes of "random junk"
But on to the possitive--- we had so many people come help!  We were moved out in 30 minutes, and cleaned up pretty quickly (painting took longer)

We are so going to miss our ward and friends but don't worry we'll visit.

Wish us luck at my moms!

PS My brother Daniel gets home from his mission tomorrow!!!

Can we live with You?

Right now we are searching for a new one of these
because Kyle won't be taking a full load of classes we can't live in our cozy (less than 500 sq ft) apartment any longer.  Looking for a new one is stressful!.
Wish us luck!

I should have taken a picture.
Last night for dinner I cooked up a leafy green vegetable.  It tasted like broccoli, but I've never seen anything like it.

Not only did I have dinner ready when Ky got home... I also had the dishwasher working (although screws were everywhere).

We had a blast teasing each other and talking as we walked to the library.  On the way back we ran into our friends and walked with them to library again.

The Rockin' 4th!

Wasn't it so nice to sleep in on Monday?
I mean 8am is a great time to wake up!
We hustled out little selves down to Murray to watch their State Street Parade

Featuring:

Murray High Cheer
and 2 of the Wouden sisters

I know the photos make it look nice outside, but man it was muggy!

Mom found a car I made her pose by.

Within the first 5 minutes, my dad dumped ice water down Kyle shirt (he didn't look too happy)

I love seeing the colors, excitement and the floats!

Time with 3 sisters isn't as good as time with 3 sisters, 1 brother inlaw, a handsome husband, 2 nieces, 1 sisters best friend and 1 sisters boyfriend, so we put on our swim suits and headed to Seven Peaks. It was a blast! I can't wait to go there again!

We jumped in the shower and headed to Sandy's parade with wet hair, to join the whole Wouden clan. (but the best part is my cute friend is dating my cousin so it's like a family and friend party!)
Hot Dogs, games and fireworks followed closely after.
I fell asleep on the ride home.
Summer fun can be tirirng
