Our day of Fun

We decided since we didn't do very much to celebrate the anniversary of the best day of our lives (the day we got married) that we would combine the cemebration with Kyle's birthday. We had a blast.

This is Ky and I at Tucano's up at the Gateway. Really good but a lot of meat!

This is my carnivorous husband.

And this really wierded me out.... It looks innocent. But there is nothing innocent about a Quail egg!

We got a room at the Armstong Mansion--Bed and Breakfast uptown. Here we are in our cute little robes.

Not Nice

So... I got into my car today... to find that someone had stollen Kyle's birthday present! I didn't want him to see, So I left it in my car. I called him on my way to work to see if he took it. Nope somebody who is not nice took it.

I do have to admit that the car was left unlocked... but in my defense, the drivers side door doesn't lock, so why lock the other.

Oh well.

Baby time... and a Prophets Voice

Conference weekend... nothing better. You get alot of guidance and snuggle time.

We also had the chance to meet our new niece. Funny story... Kyle is NOT a baby man. Little Zaida was on Oxygen and had a monitor attached to her. While Kyle was holding her... the monitor on her foot came loose and the computer started beeping... saying that she wasn't breathing. Kyle freaked out... thought that he killed the baby. Great Fun

Dad's Birthday... and a Burito

So we took my parents out for my Dad's birthday (easy present) and had a blast. We went to the Blue Iguana Uptown by the Capitol Theatre.
I'm really good at ordering... and got possibly the worst thing on the menu.. Cheese Enchiladas-- they sounded innocent enough... but were like poo and cheese.
I took one bite and knew something was terribly wrong... so I made Kyle taste... and then my Mom... and Dad... next thing i know he is flagging down the waiter who says and I quote "I saw you making funny faces so i thought that you must not like it" Turns out that they took it back and brought me out something else.

This here... is Kyles 3lb burito... Tasted great... but impossible to eat. I would venture to say that is was larger than his head. These are my cute parents... mid-kiss. and looking awkward!

Well turns out Kyle only ate half of his dinner. And the waiter brought me out the same thing... I ate like 5 bites so we had 4 and a half punds of leftovers... ew

UCLA Sun burn

Ky and his dad went to the BYU UCLA cream of a game and had a blast. Mike drove clear down from Tremonton. The best part is that they both got sunburns on half of their face!

Notice where his sunglasses used to be! HA

Upcatch

Wow! I just can't believe that it has been so long since I have posted... because everytime I look at others blogs that aren't updated daily... I get upset.

So here it goes.

Sunday was our 1st Anniversary. One year baby. And what a fun and fast year it's been. We celebrated on Saturday by getting massages in the morning and then getting lunch at a resturant on top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Loved it.

Hopefully we will be able to celebrate our love a little bit later in the year when we both have some more time. But we did order a gift certificate to a cute bed and breakfast that we have to use this year.

Showers and Fairs

Ky and I had an absolutely wonderful weekend! I have been planning on throwing my sister-in-law Eden a baby shower for a while. The only problem--nearly impossible to get off of work. Turns out someone else needed to switch me so it worked out great.

I was really happy with how the shower turned out and I may say Eden Scored in the gift section. I get worried out these sort of things so I had a hard time sleeping the night before, Kyle was cutting logs with in 5 minutes of me coming home.

He was a big help though. He cut up alot of the fruit ( while watching the olympics I might add), brought all the chairs up a flight of stairs, and loaded the car.

During the shower Ky, the bro-inlaws and my lil brother played b-ball while the girls ate fruit, cucumber sandwiches and cream puffs.

After the shower we headed over to somehthiing that my husband has been talking about for at least a year... the Box Elder County Fair. I have to admit it was quite big and fun. I wish that I was wearing my contacts so that I could get a better look at all of the cool things. Different from the dear to my heart SL Co fair... different but not better.

Best part spending time at Kyles house in Tremonton. Kyle seems to come alive when he sees the people he knows and the land that he loves. Hopefully one day we can live the easy-going country style life.

This morning my cute mother in law made us a killer breakfast with my fave hasbrowns and bacon. I don't know why but I have never been that great at making hashbrowns. I guess that I just want them in my tummy so bad that I turn them way to fast.

We then spent a while picking fruit from their orchard. I want to learn to can and so I hope that grandma will help me because we have 5 grocery bags full of peaches.

Unfortunatly we had to say good bye to treetown all too soon and left around noon. I wish that we could have spent more time with Kys family but work calls and I run

I'm a gypsie

The other day I was thinking. what "One word that describes you" would be for me. I would like to say hippie but its not true, prep but I am too low key and jock but too uncordinated. So I thought gypsie would be a good word. but really I wasn't expecting me to be Esmerlda.

Gypsies are free, almost spiritual, different creatures. I believe they are often mistaken for what they are not. Good hearted yet stubborn and wild. Thats me

You Are Esmerelda!

Broken Birthday Present

My cutest Husband (and only) no joke gave me a broken necklace as a birthday present! Not only that he gave me the exact same one for my birthday last year!

Now there is a logical explaination for all of this... but I'm not going to lie its pretty odd to open a wrapped gift and have de ja vu.

So ky ky bought me a beautiful necklace with a diamond pendant last year. The chain was really thin and clumsy me broke the chain. Twice and the second time right after he got it fixed.

So a jewelry salesman told him to buy a new chain that is "stronger" and has a lifetime warranty. So he did. Right when he got home and put the diamond pendant on, he broke the new chain.

Only thing is they look almost the same to me.

Well we will hopefully get a new one in the mail soon.

I just quickly want to say what a fun day-before-my-birthday-day I had. (we didn't really see eachother on the actual day)
-Kyle and I spent the morning together playing
-I got some time to read
-Ky surprised me with some beautiful roses
-Then he took me to a yummy dinner
-We went to visit my Oma and Opa

Actual birthday
-Grandpa bought me biskets and gravy for breakfast
-I put sunless tanner on my cute grandma and she loved it! Then I did her toenails.
-I went over to my mothers house and played with my baby niece
-Later went shopping with my big sister at a fun store where you have to search for treasures as we call them
-Work

Still it is so nice to have such a fun husband who loves birthdays. I asked him how he was going to beat this fun birthday next year. He said he will do the exact same thing.
Until next year!

The REAL Stairmaster

I would like to let all of you cute girls out there know about the best weight loss program out there. Its unusual, yes, but you get to have fun and not diet at the same time as feeling so tired that you just don't think you can go on. Sounds like a Blast.

Let me introduce you to my Husband, Kyle. When attending Lagoon-A-Beach with him he will not, and I repeat not let you get behind on your stair climbing.

I counted the stairs up to the body slide. 96. Thats right. At the end of the day I wouldn't be surprised if I climbed like 3, 000 stairs. I better get some buff legs.

Family Reunion

Summers Family Reunion
So its been quite some time since all of the Summers have gotten together. Ky and I feel bad about that because we LOVE his family but don't seem to make it up there very often. This is the first time that we have all been together since early February! And Grandma Cutler was there big plus.

I have to start out with pictures of some of my favorite people in the world! You can feel love instanly as you enter their home. I would love to spend days with them. You can learn a lot from these two... but watch out for B.S.

Dinner:

Mark and Jenna. She almost had water come out her nose in this picture. Too bad I could have gotten it.

Ky and i with our steaks. Notice his is Huge

Getting more steak...

Plate size beef...

Poor Ryan was sick and had to sit there and watch the rest of us eat. But the good news is that I Loved his and Racheys blue jello.

This was great. I told grandma to look and smile. After asking 3 times she says and I quote "I'm old and can't hear you"
Note remember Gma hates pictures.

My inlaws and Jenna. Everyone pregnant but me. Oh and of couse soon to be grandma. But don't the pregos look great?

We had some extra visitors. Loved it.

Kyle comes alive on this land. I hope that we can get some of it someday.

Photo Fun

Just wanted to add some color to our page and a few stories:

This is my cutest friend Elbs (if you love her hair raise your hand) on the left. And my fun brother in law and his girl on the left. they went with us to the Western Stampede. It was pretty fun but they didn't want to watch the fireworks, so I ran to the park to watch them so they would have to. Don't work fireworks kinda lame. Elbs hillarious.

Kyle makes a HOT cowboy. He had a huge buckle
Our awesome friends Warrior and Ryan invided us to Taylorsville Days and Fireworks. Jamie and Bry came as well. Aren't these some cute couples?

Kyles mom came to visit us and we were so so excited. I think Kyle almost cried. She grew up in the same area that we now live in and was as giddy as a little school girl showing us her stomping ground. We had a fun night with her.

This is Jaymay. Or Julieanna, my cute little niece. This is her being tired at her 1st birthday. Notice the cake. She put her feet in it and squished em around. I should try that sometime.

Lagoon A Beach

We went yesterday and had a blast. I'm not going to lie though... I think they rip you off for just about everything.
$80- Season Pass
$8- Parking (per time)
$2- Tube Rental

Well we skipped out of the parking but we did have to walk almost a mile. Tube rentals I tried to only get one. They don't let you ride double.

But all in all we had a great time. Kyle made us sandwiches yum and I brought watermellon and chips.

We rode the huge death slides. And are alivwe to tell the tale.
There was a tube slide where you slid a little and hit a pool of water and on and on. Kyle could not stay on his tube! Everytime I turned around he was in the water!

OH and just as a warning. Don't buy western family sunscreen. Not that great.

Happy 4th

Possibly my favorite national holiday! I mean who doesn't like the red, white and blue.

Kyle and I began I guess what would be our second 4th (but our first one married) with a wet dog jumping on our bed. We are dog sitting Lucy the cutest and most hyper french-bulldog you have ever seen I love her.
I heard her up and running around. What I didn't know was that she had been playing in the water hose, so I called her. Sure enough she came running and jumped up on our bed. I was laughing...Kyle disgusted. You can wash bedding no big.

Well we tried to get patrioltic with our clothing choices and went off to our ward breadfast. My cute little primary kids were adorable. One boy had his bike decked out seriously. He had streamer and balloons and get this he had one of those headband things with springs on it...and flags on the springs. So cute.

Amazing breakfast thanks to alot of hard work and we headed up to the East Millcreek parade. It wasn't a normal parade. No beauty queens but a lot of kids, bikes, dogs and homemade floats. One float which was a few wagons thrown together was a tribute to President Hinckley. They were all dressed up like bees. I really liked it and so did lucy. While we were walking to the parade lucy would try to eat everything rocks, branches, me she is nuts.

Kyle and I took stinky to the Murry celebration had a lil fun there and I went off to work and left him with my crazy family. But he got the good end of the deal. My dad made him lunch while I ate an old sloppy joe at the station because I left my juicy watermelon at home;(

It's where FUN is

Well I guess I would have to say the slogan lurred us in...or we were just in a dire need of some real fun.

I wanted to go swimming, but when we realized that Raging waters would cost us about 45 bucks we decided we wanted season passes. And thats where trouble comes in. It might not be trouble if we use them...but we did we bought season passes to Lagoon.

We get the rides and the water park. Only 10 times we need to use them and we feel that it will all be worth it.

So yesterday we went for the first time. Kyle hasn't been there since he was like 12 (the new cool ride was the Jet Star 2 my personal fave).

We both came to decide that we love the Spider, hate the bat and like Rattle Snake rapids when its hot.

But just to let all of you know...when I amanda get scared I do this awful little cry/whine/laughy thing I hate it---but I do admit I did it a few times on the coasters. I don't know why. Guess I am growing into my motion-sick-mother. Bluckk.

So when you get Stake Lagoon Passes. Invite us.
